Laundry Room Countertops Toronto: Counters Over the Machines and Utility Sinks
Laundry counters cut at our Etobicoke shop and installed across Toronto and the GTA. Over the machines, around utility sinks, and in L-shaped runs.
Laundry Rooms Are More Than Just Utility Spaces
The laundry room is no longer just a place for the washer and dryer. It is where you sort, fold, air-dry, iron, store, and sometimes even pack things. A well-planned countertop can give you a proper work surface for all of it. A countertop over the washer and dryer creates one continuous surface for folding clothes and keeps small items from falling behind the machines. If you have a sink, a matching countertop makes the whole area easier to clean and gives you a place for hand-washing and other messy jobs.
For a main-floor laundry room, the countertop can also be part of a mudroom setup. A durable surface gives you a practical place to sort bags, groceries, shoes, and everyday family items while keeping the room organized. The right countertop does not just make the laundry room look better—it gives you more usable workspace and makes the room easier to live with every day.
Laundry Rooms We’ve Worked On
Over the years, we have installed thousands of laundry room countertops across Toronto and the GTA—from small condo laundry rooms to large custom homes. We have seen all kinds of laundry room layouts, countertop designs, sinks, cabinets, and storage setups. We know what to look for before fabrication, including appliance locations, clearances, sink and faucet placement, and how much usable counter space you need. Whether you are planning a quartz laundry room countertop, custom laundry counter, folding counter, or countertop over your washer and dryer, we can help you plan the details.
A good countertop should not just fit the room, it should make the room work better.

There’s More Behind the Photos
The folding counter
The height and support are two of the most important details. The right height makes folding clothes much more comfortable, especially if you use the counter regularly. The counter also needs proper support, particularly when it spans over a washer and dryer or has a longer unsupported section.
A few inches can make a big difference in how comfortable and practical the laundry room feels.
Plan the Drain & Water Lines
If your laundry room has a sink, the drain and water lines need to be planned before the countertop is fabricated. Their location affects where the sink can sit, the cabinet layout, and sometimes the faucet placement. For a new laundry room, it is much easier to get these details right before the plumbing and cabinets are finished.
The Right Stone for Your Laundry Room
A laundry room countertop is usually a smaller area, so an off-cut or remnant can be a great way to get a premium stone without buying a full slab. We are a high-volume stone fabrication shop with a large selection of off-cuts and remnants, making it easier to find the right material for smaller projects. We also keep a large inventory of full slabs for custom stone projects.
Whether you are looking for a quartz laundry room countertop, porcelain, granite, or another premium material, we can help you find a stone that fits your project and your budget.
