1. Scope of Services

We provide countertop services that may include consultation, material selection, templating/measurement, fabrication, delivery, installation, and optional add-ons (sink cutouts, faucet holes, backsplash, removal/disposal). The exact scope is defined in your written quote/invoice/work order.

2. Quotes, Pricing & Availability

  • Website/phone estimates are non-binding until confirmed in writing after material selection and templating.

  • Pricing may change due to slab availability, supplier pricing, scope changes, access conditions, or customer-requested modifications.

  • Quotes may expire if not accepted within the stated validity period.

3. Templating & Site Conditions

  • Final fabrication relies on our templated measurements. Customer-provided measurements are for reference only unless agreed in writing.

  • If cabinets, walls, plumbing, or appliances move after templating, re-templating may be required and additional costs may apply.

  • Variations in wall straightness, cabinet levelness, and site conditions can affect fit, seams, and final appearance.

4. Material Characteristics & Seams

You acknowledge that:

  • Natural stone (granite/marble/quartzite) may contain natural variations (veining, pits, fissures, shade changes). These are natural characteristics, not defects.

  • Engineered surfaces (quartz, porcelain) may vary slightly by batch or slab.

  • Seams may be necessary due to slab size, transport, structural support, layout, and safety. Seam placement is determined by practical and structural considerations.

5. Customer Responsibilities (Site Preparation)

Before templating and installation, you agree to:

  • Ensure cabinets are installed, level, and securely fastened

  • Confirm sink/faucet/appliance specs and locations

  • Clear countertops and work areas; provide safe access

  • Keep pets and children away from work zones

  • Inform us of condo/strata restrictions, elevator bookings, parking rules, and time windows in advance

If the site is not ready at arrival, we may reschedule and charge a return/trip fee.

6. Changes & Change Orders

Any changes after acceptance (material, edge profile, cutouts, layout, schedule) require a written change order and may affect price and timeline. If fabrication has started, some changes may not be possible or may require re-fabrication costs.

7. Deposits, Payments & Cancellations

  • Deposits may be required to reserve materials and fabrication time. Payment terms are stated on your invoice/work order.

  • Because countertops are often custom fabricated, cancellations after slab reservation, cutting, or fabrication may be non-refundable and may incur restocking or fabrication charges where applicable.

  • Any unpaid balance may be due prior to installation or upon completion, as stated in your invoice/work order.

8. Scheduling, Delivery & Delays

  • Installation and delivery dates are estimates and may change due to material lead times, fabrication workload, weather, site readiness, or third-party delays.

  • We are not responsible for delays caused by suppliers, builders, other trades, or restricted site access.

9. Removal & Disposal (If Included)

If removal/disposal is included in your work order:

  • Hidden issues may be discovered (water damage, rot, uneven cabinets). Corrective carpentry/plumbing is not included unless specified.

  • Additional work requested on site may require additional charges.

10. Warranty & Limitations

Any warranty terms will be stated in your invoice or written warranty document. Unless otherwise stated, warranty typically excludes:

  • Damage from misuse, impacts, excessive heat, harsh chemicals, staining due to improper care

  • Lack of sealing/maintenance on natural stone

  • Structural movement (cabinet settling, wall shifting)

  • Work performed or modified by others after installation

  • Natural characteristics of stone (pits, fissures, shade variation)

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (loss of profits, loss of use, project delays).

  • Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount paid to us for the specific service/product giving rise to the claim.

12. Website Content & Intellectual Property

All Website content (text, images, logos, design, videos) is owned by or licensed to Countertop Pro GTA. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute content without written permission.

13. Third-Party Links

Our Website may include links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for third-party content or policies.

14. Privacy

15. Governing Law
